For beginner
Heel pain is one of the more common foot problems and the pain usually stems from under the heel, due to Plantar Fasciitis, or just behind the heel, where the Achilles tendon attaches to the heel bone. With most cases of heel pain, the pain will usually subside on its own however in some cases it does not. Some of the most common causes of heel pain are due to: plantar fasciitis; heel bursitis, or an inflammation of the back of the heel; heel bumps, usually found in teenages when the bond is not full matured and it rubs excessively resulting in the formation of too much bone; stress fracture, from things like excessive force on the foot; or any other problems with gait that may be present. GoTape helps to cup the surrounding tissue around the heel and provide added cushioning to vulnerable and unprotected area. Depending on the source of your heel pain treatment options may vary slightly but overall most treatment options include: rest and avoid activities that may stress the heels, icing, NSAIDS, wearing proper fitting shoes that are supportive and comfortable, and using orthotics or heel cups to help absorb some of the shock your heels may endure during activity.
